This 4 indenpendant jaws diam. 420 mm (16.1/2") chuck is a little headacke as it weighs around 65 kg (144 pounds)
When years ago I uploaded a book from the US-Navy, I read one chapter dedicated to an attachment called "VersaMil".

It fascinated me, but my enthusiasm was of very short duration when I saw its selling price.

In 2004 Ebay Germany showed one for sale at a price for a hobbyist like me and I strongly prayed that the price would not go up as in the USA. I was lucky, I got it at a price my hobby purse could afford at that time.

These are the pictures of the auction.

The measurement plate which was supplied on top of the VersaMil must have come from a tank gun target equipment.

Later, after milling it to 0.01 mm, I made a nice measuring table out of it.
Three accessories were included, an internal grinder, an external grinder and a hi-speed milling head for MT2 mill holders
A number of mill arbors came with it. Oh! surprise MT2 shanks in the US have of course another drawbar thread than our M10 thread.
I will try later on to anneal them in order to cut a M10 thread instead.
